From 26 to 28 October 2026, IBORN’s Nina Gievska joined the VISIT team at their Berlin office for a three-day product development workshop. Fourteen VISIT colleagues across Engineering, Product and Design came together to kick off the next round of feature work and agree on priorities for 2027.

The workshop explored two connected questions: what should the team build next, and how could the people designing and developing those features work together from the start?

Aligning feature priorities and the 2027 product vision

The opening sessions focused on feature development for the current quarter before turning to VISIT’s product vision for 2027 and the technical decisions that would support it.

With Engineering, Product and Design involved in the discussions, the team agreed on initial steps and clarified how each discipline would contribute as ideas moved from discovery into development.

Exploring AI-assisted development through a mini-hackathon

On the final day, the engineers built on lessons from earlier work with AI during a mini-hackathon. They tested how AI could support the development process, then shared their experiments in demos.

Meanwhile, colleagues in Product and Design explored how the three disciplines could collaborate more closely when shaping a feature. Both groups came back together to share what they had tried and learned.

Connecting beyond everyday calls

For Nina, the visit was also an opportunity to spend time in person with the colleagues she works with remotely. On the first evening, the group explored Berlin together. Her photos gave the rest of us at IBORN a glimpse of the people and moments behind the workshop.

Thank you to Nina for her contribution to our work with VISIT, and to the VISIT team for hosting the workshop and showing everyone around their city.
