Our Product Designer, Sandra, recently joined the VisBook team at Marienlyst Strandhotel in Helsingør, Denmark, for a few days of working closely with the people using the product in their day-to-day operations. The visit was a chance to step into the real environment behind the product, to see how it fits into daily work, hear feedback firsthand, and better understand what matters most in practice.

One of the highlights was seeing the housekeeping team start using the new digital workflow in their daily operations. The team also had the opportunity to exchange ideas, gather valuable feedback, and explore improvements together with the people who know the work best. That kind of proximity makes a difference. Being on-site brings more context to the conversation: how people work, what they value, where there is room to improve, and what a product needs to deliver in a real setting.

At the same time, the bigger picture stays important. The goal is not to solve for one hotel, but to learn from real use and use those insights to shape a product that can work across different environments. The visit was also a good reminder of how much stronger product work becomes when it is built around open conversation and close collaboration. Working side by side helped the teams align around the same goal and strengthen the relationship along the way.

For Sandra and the wider team, it was a few days of useful conversations, shared ideas, and hands-on product work, all in the amazing setting of Marienlyst Strandhotel on the Øresund coast.
