YAKSS - if you follow IBORN you have most probably heard of this term, but do you know what it means? YAKSS is an acronym coming from the phrase - Yet Another Knowledge Sharing Session. The sessions are typically 20 to 40 minute presentations followed by a Q&A and discussion. It serves as a platform for Ibornians to share their expertise whether it is a technology that they work with or insights from their research. The goal is to learn and grow together by inspiring one another.

This Wednesday we had another awesome YAKSS hosted by our UI/UX designer Stefan Neshkovski. Stefan delivered a powerful session on how creativity can scale when structure is in order. The topic could not have been more timely, especially for our marketing design collaboration efforts, where the team had been facing a familiar challenge: long feedback loops with design that made it difficult to stay on brand and move quickly.

During the session, Stefan introduced us to Figma Buzz - a smart, scalable solution he has been using to bring structure to creativity. Based on our existing brand book, Stefan built a comprehensive design system consisting of reusable templates, clear design guidelines and shared design principles. This approach enables the production of scalable marketing assets, streamlines the marketing design workflow and ensures design consistency for marketing across all touchpoints. With Figma Buzz, Stefan demonstrated how the design to marketing feedback loop can be drastically shortened, how teams can move faster without compromising brand consistency and finally, how creativity remains at the center, empowered by structure.

What truly stood out was Stefan’s engineering mindset in approaching a creative problem. Rather than seeing structure as a limitation, he showed how it can act as a springboard for innovation and efficiency, thanks to our new Figma brand system.

We are incredibly grateful to Stefan for leading such an insightful YAKSS session and for showing us how the right tools and systems can transform a bottleneck into a breakthrough.

This is what YAKSS is all about: sharing ideas, solving real problems and growing together.

Stay tuned for our next session!
