We’re happy to announce that we’ve launched the first app of the My Iborn platform - iborn’s digital library Alexandria. 

The digital library Alexandria is a service dedicated to the employees of iborn and its mission is to provide and maintain an enduring source of e-books to support further skills development and learning new technologies for faster and easier career growth.

BOOSTING EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE WITH ALEXIS HR

This year the number of new people at iborn.net has increased by 40%. As we grow, so do the HR activities and it becomes more difficult to deal with them, and for us, employee satisfaction has always been our priority. 
Besides (re)forming the People Ops team that takes care of everything to be completed correctly and on time, this week we have one more assistant - Alexis HR, a software that allows us to streamline the workflows and centrally manage all the processes.

WORKING REMOTELY IN TIMES OF COVID-19

Our people matter! That’s why since last week our team is working from home. We took this decision at the very beginning of the virus spread in our country because as a software development company we’re able to easily adapt to new working methodologies. From 20-21 February, Bojan Sapunov from the Data Team participated in an invite-only, two-day Accelerated Data Lab Workshop intended exclusively for a selected audience consisting of Data Engineers, Cloud Engineers, DBAs, DevOps and Solution Architects from predominantly large enterprises. The sessions deep-dived into the design, development, and architecture of Amazon Aurora with a large focus on how to perform fast migration from the various on-premise databases to the managed cloud DBs (Aurora or RDS).

Founding Anniversary: IBORN TURNS 7

Last month we celebrated our 7th founding anniversary. The party took place at Ragusa 360, and we celebrated it with a lot of music (Beta House Band & Dj Kalin Markovikj), cocktails and food. On this day we wanted to celebrate our amazing team, their commitment and enthusiasm, all our achievements until now, and our satisfied clients.

After few months collaboration with the Godo team from Iceland, we’re excited to announce that the new Travia product - a progressive web app with an intuitive design and great features is finally launched.

Travia is a marketplace where properties and travel agents meet and collaborate together. Properties set cancellation policies, prices and travel agencies can see live inventory, send instant bookings or requests to the properties that are registered.

This weekend during the CIIT Academic Conference in Mavrovo, Zlate Dodevski, one of IBORN's finest, who currently serves as Chief Operation Officer, gave a lecture on his peer-reviewed academic paper on the subject of "Decentralizing The Health Information Exchange System".

KULTIP 2014

KulTip was a series of events that takes place in Skopje in the period from May through October 2014. iBorn was one of the participants. KulTip is an innovation event with the aim to assist the cultural institutions in Macedonia with IT and help them improve their use of IT. The event was co-organized by the British Council and the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering (FINKI).

INFORMATIJADA 2014

Informatijada (A wordplay consisted of the words ‘information’, as in information technology and ‘Olympics’, similar to Hackathon) was a four-day international event for students which took place at Hotel Desaret in Ohrid, from the 8th through the 12th of October in 2014. The Infromatijada was an educational event, with a competitive part with the aim to promote innovation and innovativeness in students.

INTERNATIONAL SPACE APPS CHALLENGE 2014

A total of 12,775 people participated in this year’s International Space Apps Challenge. They were working on 947 projects in 133 locations all over the world. Multiple teams consisted of students, developers, designers, innovators, mentors and other enthusiasts had a chance to work together and develop a solution to a global problem.
